Welcome to ICE! This is an informative guide of the first things you’ll have to do at ICE to get access to all it’s services.
After signing your contract, the administration staff will assign you a workspace and your group may or may not give you computer to work with, if it does not, you can use your personal machine freely. If a computer is given to you, you can install any OS you want, you’ll be the administrator of your computer.
If you’re having problems installing the OS, send us an email at ice_it-services@ice.cisc.es and we can do it for you.
You will also recive an email to do a mandatory security and safety quick course that will teach you some rules and procedures that you have to follow in your work environment.
In order to access your institutional email account, you must have your CSIC’s intranet account active, you can see a detailed guide on how to do it here. Keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks for you to be able to do it becouse the phisical copy of your contrat has to be sent to the CSIC HQ in Madrid.
